/*MAIN SECTION GOES HERE*/
A co-op is a special form of business in which users or providers of goods or services own and control the organization which provides them. TPSS Co-op is owned by its members and operates according to the Seven Cooperative Principles. But you don't have to be a member of the co-op to shop there.

1. Participate in the Basics Program: Basic essentials are priced at lower member prices.
2. Receive Members Only Specials: These specials allow you to enjoy additional savings on selected sale items.
3. Get to Vote: You are entitled to vote in Board of Representatives elections and on some co-op policies and issues. By joining and working on a board committee, such as recycling or membership, you also get to vote on matters before the committee.
4. Attend General Membership Meetings & Run for Board Positions:You can influence major decisions affecting the co-op by participating in the bi-annual membership meetings or by running for a position on the co-op’s Board of Representatives.
5. Receive a Bi-Monthly Co-op Newsletter:
Mailed directly to your home, this newsletter is full of recipes, new product tips, health news, classified ads, customer questions and staff answers, and more. You can also elect to read the newsletter online and not receive the paper mailing.
.
6. Become Eligible for the Community Discount Program: Your TPSS membership gives you a discount at over 40 participating local businesses. (Program temporarily suspended.)
7. Support a Community Store: You are personally becoming a part owner of a cooperative business that brings our community high quality goods and services.

Joining the co-op requires a $100, one-time capital investment. If you leave the area or decide for whatever reason to cancel your membership, this $100 investment is refundable upon request in writing.
We encourage payment in full whenever possible. If you wish to take advantage of the installment plan, please note that a $10 non-refundable processing fee is included in the first payment. We are interested in accommodating any special financial needs. If you are interested in alternative payment plans or have other questions, please speak to or write the membership manager, Sherri Collins, at 301-891-2667, or outreach (at) tpss.coop.
Three easy steps
1. Pick up and fill out a membership application at either store location.
2. Deliver the application along with your payment to either co-op location. Membership payments are processed through the register lines.
3. Start using your membership card right away to receive all of your co-op benefits.
